● Via Mumbai: Embark on a scenic coastal drive from Mumbai. Take the Sion-PanvelExpressway towards Alibaug. The total distance is approximately 95 km to 105 km, dependingon the route chosen. Expect a travel time of 2.5 to 3 hours.
For a Relaxing Ferry Ride (From Mumbai):
● Gateway of India to Alibaug: Enjoy a relaxing ferry ride from the Gateway of India in Mumbai to Mandwa Jetty in Alibaug. The ferry ride itself takes about an hour and an additional 45 minutes of bus travel from Mandwa to Alibag City. Upon arrival in Alibaug, connect with a bus or rickshaw to reach Nagaon beach, Bougainvillea (approximately 9 km away). Total travel time, including connection, is roughly 3 to 3.5 hours. Several ferry operators like PNP, Maldar, and Ajanta offer regular services with connecting buses in the same ferry tickets (excluding monsoon season).

An alternative route option from Pune (e.g., via Khopoli-Pali Road) depending on traffic conditions. The total distance is approximately 150 km to 160 km, depending on the route chosen. Expect a travel time of 3.5 to 4 hours.

ST Bus 🚌- Catch an ST bus directly to Alibaug from Pune. Upon arrival, hire a rickshaw for the final leg to Bougainvillea.
Reaching Bougainvillea Once in Alibaug:
Rickshaw 🛺: From Alibaug, conveniently reach Bougainvillea by hiring a readily available 6 or 3-seater rickshaw. The journey takes approximately 20 minutes.
Bus 🚎: You can go for Local Bus services which run from Alibag to Revdanda or Murud Janjira. The local bus takes around 15-20 minutes depending on traffic and availability. From Nagoan bus stand its only 5 minutes walk.
